Alex Rodriguez has certainly impressed millions of baseball fans around the world and has become wealthy by playing the game he loves the most. Alex Rodriguez is the youngest player in Major League history to hit for the cycle, at the age of 21. He is also the youngest player ever to hit 500 home runs breaking the record set by Jimmie Foxx in 1939. He is one of the best players in Major League Baseball and has been compared to many great players in Baseball history.
Last October 28, 2007 Alex Rodriguez opted out of the final three years of his contract with the Yankees but his contract was renewed. Rodriguez announced in December 13, 2007 that he is signing a new 10-year contract with the New York Yankees. And guess how much his salary will be for the whole 10 years. A whopping $275 million and $30 million more if he breaks the all-time home run record of 762. Which broke the record set for $252 million also held by Alex Rodriguez. This is actually the most expensive and biggest contract in baseball history.

It was a disappointment to know that such a great player was reported that his test for anabolic steroids, testosterone and Primobolan in 2003 was found to be positive. This was the time while he was still playing for the Texas Rangers. Just when everything seems to be perfect :(
